Business Development
There is a Proverb that says, "There is nothing new under the sun."
Business Development means different things to different people
and the most proven model for business development is the Ansoff
Model. The model and associated matrix were first published in
1957 in the Harvard Business Review. The substance of this is that
NCDCS looks at the Ansoff Matrix in the Nine-Box Matrix and takes
it from two dimensions to three. The third dimension being the
depth to which each grid penetrates into all of the functional areas
of the business.

The two dimensional matrix

NCDCS believes that as a business traverses the matrix, it should be
viewing the crossings in conjunction with Risk Management. The
intial significant considerations would be:

    •  Research the move carefully

    •  Build the capabilities needed to succeed in the new quadrant

    •  Ensure there are plenty of resources to cover a possible lull
while you're developing and learning how to sell the new
product, or figuring out what makes the new market tick

    •  Critically considering what to do if things don't work out, and
that failure won't "break" negatively impact the business entity

NCDCS has the capacity to partner with you in one or several of the
various components in new business development. Our approach is
to work through the business processes developing a dynamic
model. All through the process, we find that building strategic
relationships is critical and not only external to the organization, but
such that the new opportunity takes root across all functional
aspects within the business. Our strength is to develop the human
element in concert with the business plan.
